Daily Duties: The Mighty Blender

We are blender people. Drinking at least 2 protein shakes a day per person in our home is the norm. Therefore our crush-master blending monster gets put through its paces with frozen fruit and chunks of ice every few hours.  And frankly I think it is one of the best ways to get lean but that is just the dietitian in me coming out.

It was getting on my nerves to clean the machine so much until I discovered this simple little trick.

Rinse out the machine. Fill it to the 16 oz line with warm water. Drop a couple of drops of your favorite green dish detergent in the machine. Reattach to the base and pop the top back on. Blend until itís sudsy foam.  Remove and give it a good shake. Open up and if it needs a quick once over with a long handled brush go for it.  Rinse and air dry.  

Simple and fast! Love it!

This way I can be sure that it is quickly cleaned and ready for the next user.  We of course do recommend a deeper clean one time a week in which you disassemble the machine for a truly deep clean.
